 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  World Cup to feature mid-half hydration breaks

The 2026 World Cup will feature hydration breaks in each half, effectively dividing matches into four quarters, FIFA announced.

Referees will pause games 22 minutes into each half for three-minute water breaks, allowing players to rehydrate. Unlike last year’s Club World Cup in the United States, where breaks were limited to extreme heat, these hydration pauses will be mandatory for every match, regardless of venue or weather. The three minutes will be added to stoppage time, but the game clock will continue to run.

The tournament, set to run from June 11 to July 14 across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will be the first 48-team World Cup. FIFA also plans to hold three opening ceremonies before each host nation plays its first match. The tournament kicks off June 11 in Mexico City with Mexico facing South Africa. The U.S. men’s team will play Paraguay in Inglewood, California, on June 12, opening Group D alongside Paraguay, Australia, and a playoff winner from Slovakia, Kosovo, Turkey, or Romania.
