The Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority LASPPPA over the weekend sealed up a branch of "The Place Eatery" at Herbert  Macaulay Way, Yaba, for illegal remodeling of their premises without obtaining  Remodelling Permit  from the  Authority. The seal up was carried out by the General Manager LASPPPA, Tpl Kehinde Osinaike in conjunction with the LASPPPA District Officer in that area and some other staff of the Authority while on a monitoring for enforcement exercise in the axis.  While sealing the premises, the GM explained that the action became necessary after notices served the organization went unheeded. Osinaike further reiterated LASPPPA's commitment to Zero Tolerance to illegal development in Lagos State. More photos below. 

ANAMBRA WOMAN BECOMES VIRAL SENSATION AFTER WELCOMING NONUPLETS A woman from Anambra State is going viral after welcoming nonuplets – nine babies. Obianuju Anthonia Ibeanu, from Neni in Anambra state, welcomed the baby back in August 2023, but she is just now going viral after she edited her Facebook bio. Her bio reads: “Mum of nonuplets, 9 babies.” The babies comprise 6 girls and 3 boys. A Facebook user claiming to be a relative of the new mum claimed the woman welcomed the babies after “25 years of marriage”. Another Facebook user said, “The woman people were calling barren woman is now a mother of nine babies.” Though many claim she didn’t have any kids for years, her Facebook profile shows her and her husband, Chief Madubugwu Anthony Okwuchukwu,  posing with three older kids in numerous photos. Fallen Tree Kills Woman, Injures 10 Others In Ilorin Tragedy struck on Monday morning in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, when a big tree fell and killed a woman, injuring 10 others. The deceased and the injured persons were waiting by the roadside beside Baystar petrol station in the Zango-Kulende area, opposite Oke-Andi junction, Ilorin, to board commercial vehicles to their various destinations before the tree fell. The incident which occurred at about 8 a.m., threw the area into confusion as the woman reportedly died on the spot. Newsmen reports that the tree cut electricity cables and destroyed shops. Some shop owners in the area and a vulcanizer known as Malam Abdulrasheed, escaped death as they were yet to open for business at the time of the incident. The injured victims were rushed to a private hospital, Olutayo Clinic, behind the Baystar petrol station. One more photo below. 

Court sentences Lagos doctor, Olufemi Olaleye to life imprisonment for r@ping his wife's teenage niece The Lagos State Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence sitting in Ikeja has sentenced the Medical Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, Dr. Olufemi Olaleye, to life imprisonment for the d£filement of his wife’s niece. Justice Rahman Oshodi sentenced Olaleye on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, after he found him guilty of the offence of defilement and s£xual penetration of a 15-year-old girl. The judge held that the prosecution was able to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt and that all the evidence before the court corroborated that of the victim. Olaleye was arraigned on two counts which bordered on d£filement and s£xual assault by penetration of his wife’s niece, preferred against him by the Lagos State Government. She also demanded a DNA test to confirm her biological dad. The singer made the revelations on her Instagram story on Monday, expressing doubts about her paternity due to the way she had been treated at home. Cynthia claimed that when she was 14 years old, her half-siblings began using her for s3xual experiment. They allegedly stopped after she told her mother, but started to bullying her for telling. Man flogged to d3ath by his former in-laws in Niger State A businessman, Mallam Umar Tasiu, was allegedly flogged to d3ath by his former in-laws in Minna, Niger State.  A neighbour told Daily Trust on condition of anonymity that the Al Azhar University, Egypt graduate had gone to see his children who live with his ex-wife at her father's house.  “He went to see his two kids who are staying with his former wife in her father’s house. They had separated but the children are staying with their mother. He went to see them and his former in-laws who didn’t want him to come to their house tied and whipped him until he died in their house. Gunmen abduct Nasarawa State University lecturer Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a lecturer with he Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK), Dr. Comfort Abed Adokwe Dr. Adokwe, a lecturer in the Faculty of Administration and a Deputy Director, Gender Studies, was kidnapped at her residence in Angwan Jaba area of Keffi on Sunday night, October 22, 2023.  It was gathered that the gunmen shot sporadically into the air before whisking her away to an unknown destination.  Her colleagues and students confirmed the incident on Facebook, calling on security agencies to rescue her.
