Police arrest man who allegedly killed mother, sister in Enugu The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a young man who allegedly killed his mother, Mrs Charity Orji, and his sister, Miss Ukamaka Orji, and buried them in a shallow grave in their backyard in the state. The suspect, identified as Somadina Orji from Igboariam in Anambra State, was said to have committed the offence on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Umuagu Inyi, in the Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State. According to various reports and videos of the incident, the late Charity, a native of Inyi but married in Igboariam, Anambra State, had been living in her family house with her children for some years. Unfortunately, her son, who allegedly deals in hard drugs and has been having issues with her for some time killed her. Sosoliso Crash Survivor Pays Tribute To Victims 18 Years After  Survivor of the tragic Sosoliso plane crash 18 years ago and America's Got Talent star, Kechi Okwuchi, has paid a tribute to the 60 schoolmates lost in the devastating incident.  In an X post on Sunday, Kechi asked the 60 angels to keep watching over her and one other who survived, as she made more memories for them.   Kechi wrote, "Dear 60 Angels, 18 years have passed since the Sosoliso plane crash that took your lives among other dear souls while sparing mine and 1 other.  "Another year, another new set of milestones. All for you. Please keep watching over me as I make even more memories for u.”  The America's Got Talent star was a student of Loyola Jesuit College and was aboard the plane when it crashed in Port Harcourt International Airport on December 10, 2005, killing 106 people, including 60 schoolmates.  Credit: X | kechi ---  

Two biological brothers that died in a fatal accident set to be buried. Iko Media gathered that the boys died in a fatal accident that happened along Enugu/Portharcourt Expressway (Nsukwe Ubakala, Umuahia South Axis) on the 4th of December, 2023. We also learnt they are the only sons of their parents.  May God give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and may their souls rest in perfect peace. 🕊😭  

DSS To Start Using Weapons Produced By Personnel – Bichi The Department of State Services (DSS) said on Saturday it will soon unveil weapons produced by its personnel. This was disclosed by the DSS Director General, Yusuf Bichi, at the graduation ceremony of the Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 16 participants in Abuja, the nation’s capital. According to him, the DSS will soon begin to “produce what it eats and eat what it produces.” Among the weapons the Secret Service will soon unveil are Unmanned Aeriel Vehicles (UAVs), he stated. Bichi also assured that the agency will continue to support the National Institute for Security Studies to succeed in its quest to impart knowledge that will enhance security in the country. Burna Boy explains why Nigerians hate him Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed why he is “hated” in the music industry. According to him, he is hated by his “inferiors” for having no “superiors.” The controversial singer posted this on his X handle on Saturday when he wrote, “Hated by my inferiors for having no superiors,” while sharing a photo of himself. Recall that Burna Boy has repeatedly claimed that he is hated by Nigerians. Rhoda Jatau, a Bauchi woman who was imprisoned after condemning the killing of a Christian student, Samuel Deborah in Sokoto State, has finally regained her freedom. Jatau was released following an intervention from civil society organisations, family members and religious bodies. It was gathered that her bail application brought by her lawyer, Joseph Danboyi, was heard and granted by Justice Fatima Jibrin of a high court in Bauchi. As soon as she was released, Rhoda left Bauchi for Gombe State. Before being released, the Executive Director of the Centre for Information Technology and Development, Bauchi, said in a statement that Jatau was picked up on 20th of May, 2022 at her residence by the Nigerian Police Force on the allegations of alleged incitement and inciting public disturbance. The CITAD further disclosed that she was denied bail on several occasions.
