 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

Indian villagers seeking shelter from Cyclone Phailin, 12 October 2013Debris from storm damage at a fishing harbour in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh, India, 12 October 2013        A HUGE CYCLONE THAT HAS FORCED AS MANY AS 500,000 PEOPLE TO FLEE THEIR HOMES HAS MADE LAND FALL IN EASTERN INDIA.AUTHORITIES HAD PREDICTED A STORM SURGE OF AT LEAST 3M 10FT.THAT WAS EXPECTED TO CAUSE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE.OOFICIALS SAY THEY ARE BETTER PREPARED THAN IN 1999 WHEN A CYCLONE KILLED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN ORISSA.CYCLONE PHAILIN HAS BEEN CLASSED AS VERY SEVERE AND THE HEAD OF INDIAS METEOROLOGICAL OFFICE LA RATHURE SAID IT WOULD REMAIN IN THAT CATEGORY FOR 6HOURS BEFORE LOSING STRENGTH.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
