 Press Release: Every Hisbah Officer Is a Peace and Security Ambassador in His Community. Kano State Governor Alh.Abba Kabir Yusuf has reaffirmed the determination of his administration to ensure security and peace  for the protection of lives and property across the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ahmad Tijjani Sani Auwal, made the commitment during a stakeholders meeting on the contribution of shari'a sector institutions toward promoting peace and security in Kano State. The meeting was organized by the Kano State Hisbah Board and held at the Coronation hall Government House, Kano. He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and urged the Hisbah Board to focus more on providing intelligence reports to conventional security agencies, rather than limiting efforts to moral enforcement alone. 18 YEARS LANRE OTUNOLA ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY.

3-person robbery accused            Lanre Otunola has been arrested for joining two other suspected robbers who specialized in snatching vehicles at gun point.The suspect who was paraded alongside his gang at the Lagos state police command Ikeja on tuesday confessed that he joined the gang to raise money for the christmas celebration.Others paraded along with him were,Jamiu Agboola,20 years and Toibu Oyeyinka,24 years old.The police claimed the trio snatched two sport utility vehicle at gun point,barely 23 hours after their operation following a tip off from members of the public to the police and the police subsequently laid ambush for them at the spot where they were parked the vehicles at market street,oyingbonarea of lagos looking for buyers.What was recovered from them are,one Honda Acura MDX JEEP,one Toyota High Lander JEEP,two locally made pistols and four live cartridges.The two cars were stolen from Opera street,Coker Aguda Surulere lagos on 14th December,2013.
