 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. 836,OVER 35YEARS SERVING TEACHERS SACKED IN EDO STATE.

          The state's commissioner for basic education Mr Patrick Aguinede,confirmed that the Edo state government today monday,sacked 836 teachers following a verification carried out by the department of information and communication technology.It was discovered that some of the affected teachers had stayed above 35 years,which made it impossible for the state government  to recruit new teachers .Mr Patrick said ''some of the affected teachers were found to have stayed above 35 years,some were physically blind,some manipulated their results and age,which later showed that they finished school before they were born''.The affected teachers learnt of the sack when their names were missing from the December salary voucher.Mr Akin Adeojo,the secretary of the Nigerian union of teachers {NUT},Edo state chapter,confirmed that the union was aware of the sack.He said ''the affected teachers had not been issued with a sack letters.and some of the teachers stayed above 35 years in service while others were physically and mentally challenged,the letter would be scrutinised before taking a decision,to prevent anybody from being victimised.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
