 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. ABATTIOR MARKET IN AGEGE,DESTROYED THIS MORNING.

•Abattoir food market being demolished this morning by officials of the Lagos State government. PHOTO... EMMANUEL OSODI        This morning,at the popular Abattoir market in the Agege area of Lagos state,as officials of the state task force as well as police men attached to the Rapid Response Squad demolished shops and stalls in the market.many of the traders were seen gathering the few goods they could salvage.it came to our notice that these traders were given a notice, two months ago,they were also given another reminder last week Friday,they were again reminded and this morning when the squard got to the market,they allowed them to move their things before the exercise commenced.the traders said they would have moved but they thought the government would not go ahead with the demolition.
