 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. BOXING DAY GHASTLY ACCIDENT AT SAGAMU ROAD.

a bus crash           Three persons,two male and one female were confirmed dead in a boxing day road Abeokuta,and it happened today.The accident occured about 5pm today.It involved a commercial bus and a Nissan urvan.The accident happened at Soowo town,near Kobape,in Obafemi Owode Local government area of Ogun state.The bus belonged to the Road Transport Employers Association,Nigeria,RTEAN.The vehicle was coming from Ibadan and it was going to Sango Ota and it decided to pass through Abeokuta,so as to aviod some grid lock on the road .The accident was caused by over speeding as the driver lost control when the tyre burst.The vehicle somesaulted and crossed the median.Apart from the three persons who died,eight other persons,made up of six male and two female were seriously injured.
