 Kano State Approves N1.5 Billion for Mass Wedding of 3,000 Couples The Kano State Government has earmarked N1.5 billion for a forthcoming mass wedding programme targeting 3,000 beneficiaries, officials announced on Monday. Commander-General of the Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Daurawa, disclosed the funding while briefing journalists on preparations for the event.  “The Kano State Government is to spend N1.5bn on the entire mass wedding programme which will soon be conducted in the state,” Daurawa said. According to him, the allocation will cover furniture, food items, dowry, clothing materials for the couples, and a N100,000 capital grant to each bride, among other expenses. The Hisbah Board, in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health, has already commenced mandatory medical screening for prospective couples to determine their health status. JIM IYKE ARRESTED IN GHANA AFTER FIGHTING OVER $10,000.

                                                   Sources revealed that some people were eating at a cafe at about 5pm when a stout gentleman in a Black Range Rover with a Nigerian number plate parked by the cafe.Jim Iyke got engage with the man in a heated argument over $10,000 which later turned into a nasty brawl on the street.It became difficult for those around to separate the two,and at a point,Jim Iyke wanted to get into his car to pull out something which was suspected to be gun but he was prevented by those at the cafe.The other man left but returned shortly with two police men,one in mufti and the other in uniform who arrested Jim Iyke and took him away.Sources said barely 20 minutes,the actor resurface at the venue,creating the impression the case had been settled by the two police men.One more picture below,showing Nadia Buari and Jim Iyke at Ovation Red carol in Ghana.   jimmy and nadia [NGTrends.com]
