 Lagos hotel, 3 other properties forfeited by drug kingpins auctioned at N6.1billion *- It’s a clear message that cartels won’t be allowed to enjoy proceeds of their criminal trade, says Marwa*  A Lagos hotel and three other properties seized from drug kingpins by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and forfeited to the Federal Government through court processes have been auctioned for the sum of Six Billion One Hundred and Forty- Eight Million Nine Hundred and Sixty-Four Thousand Naira (N6,148,964,000.00) only. This was the outcome of a competitive bid process for the sale of eight assets forfeited by drug barons in parts of the country. While bidders who offered above reserved prices emerged winners of four of the listed properties, bids for four others failed because none offered up to the reserved prices. OKWUOKEI PETER,A TAXI DRIVER,ARRESTED FOR HARD DRUGS HIDDEN IN A PALM OIL BOTTLES.

Okwuokei Peter: arrested                                               NDLEA,National Drug Law Enforcement Agency,made these discovery during screening of cargoes on a south African Airlines flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos,where they seized 9.2 kilogrammes of methamphetamine hidden inside palm oil.The drug was being exported to south Africa.A taxi driver,named Okwuokei Peter who brought the consignment has been apprehended by anti-narcotic officials,NDLEA.The suspect said that he was sending the drug to his regular passenger.He said ''one of my regular passengers asked me to send the gallon of oil to him.I thought i was doing him a favour but little did i know that it will land me in a big trouble.The suspect who hails from Delta state,lives in Lagos with his wife and four children.                                                                                                                        41parcels of meth hidden in a tin of palm oil
