 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. V.I.S,ARRESTED 200 COMMERCIAL BUSES OVER REGISTRATION OF PLATE NUMBER.

           Vehicles Inspection Services { VIS} of Lagos state,today arrested about 200 commercial bus drivers who have failed to register their vehicles as directed by the state government.The government gave commercial bus drivers 1 January dead line to register their vehicles.Lagos state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW,Tajudeen Agbede,had on monday appealed to the government to extend the ultimatum by two months.He ultimatum by two months.He explained that the extension would enable more drivers to comply with the directive.Abdulhafiz Toriola,state chief VIS officer said the arrest became necessary after the expiration of a two month ultimatum to the drivers.''we started the enforcement since January 1 when the ultimatum expired.This will continue except there is a contrary directive from the government.Most commercial motorists did not comply with the directive''.Abdulhafiz Toriola also urge all commercial bus drivers in the state to comply with the registration to prevent impounding their vehicles.''every commercial vehicle driver without the state's operation licence will be arrested''
