NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges. A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters and two H-125 helicopters. The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. One of my sources,Ikay Ogbonna,from Awka Anambra state,have confirmed that the problems associated with the pouring of sand by the deceased widow or widower in the grave of his or her beloved one's as a sign of goodbye in Awka kingdom has finally been laid to rest by the pronouncement of Justice Hope Uzodimma of Awka High court stipulating that the Catholic burials will no longer be disrupted by any authority in Awka,in the name of preserving traditions/customs of the land.My question is these,the people that made the law that widow/widowers will not pour sand in the grave of their love ones,is there a spiritual inplication if they go ahead with what the court rules,just to prove a point?
