CJN Bans Lawyers, Court Officials to Stop Using ‘Barrister’ as Official Title The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has directed lawyers, court officials and other legal personnel to discontinue the use of “Barrister” as a prefix to their names in all official engagements at the Supreme Court. The directive was contained in a memorandum dated July 13, 2026, and signed by the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Kabir Akanbi. The circular, which was addressed to litigation staff, legal practitioners, court registrars and lawyers, stated that the directive took immediate effect and was aimed at upholding professional standards within the apex court. JACINTA MARTO 1910-1920.

                 Jacinta Marto,was one of the three original visionaries of the Apparition of our lady at Fatima in 1917.She was born in 1910 and died in 1920.In both 1935 and 1951,her body was exhumed and in each instance her body was found to be incorrupt.The Basilica of our Lady of Fastina was built on the site where the three children first saw a lady ''brighter than the sun ''and Jacinta's tomb has remained their since 1951.
