 IGP DISU SEEKS STRONGER PARTNERSHIP WITH TRADITIONAL INSTITUTIONS, REASSURES OFFICERS ON POLICING REFORMS DURING JIGAWA VISIT The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, has called for deeper collaboration between traditional institutions, security agencies, and communities in advancing peace, unity, and development, while reassuring officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force that ongoing policing reforms will not undermine their careers, welfare, or accrued benefits. The IGP made the remarks on Monday, 15th June 2026, during a working visit to Jigawa State, where he paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Umar Namadi, attended the 8th Executive Committee Meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers' Council (NTRC) in Dutse, and addressed officers and men of the Jigawa State Police Command.
