 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. THE CANONISATION OF TERROR-WOLE SOYINKA.

                        I was expecting that the day of the centenary Award ceremony,they will declare a public holiday and i felt Nigerians were not carried along.Professor Wole Soyinka rejected the centenary award and sent in a rejection note headlined ''The Canonisation of Terror''.He observed that the inclusion of Sani  Abacha on the list does not only show a failure of a moral rigour but calls into question ,''the entire ethical landscape into which this nation has been forced by insensate leadership''.He made various points to buttress his claims about General Sani Abacha{1}General Sani Abacha was a vicious usuper under whose authority the lives of an elected president and his wife,M.K.O and Kudirat Abiola were snifed out.{2}Various assasination by him including the hanging of Ken Saro-Wiwa and 9 others.{3}The refusal to remove the sign post bearing the name of Abacha  and being canonised by Goodluck Jonathan regime.Soyinka further said ''what the government of Goodluck jonathan has done is the scoop up of a century's accumulated degeneracy in one pre-eminent symbol,then place it on a podium for the nation to admire,emulate and even-worship''.My opinion is these,Goodluck cannot please everybody,so lets face fact,the fact that they were dictators does not stop them from being in the history of Nigeria as a past President and if all past president of Nigeria should be awarded,the good and bad have a right to be recognised and it is only to that dictator shame that he will be recognised in history as a dictator.Lets tell ourselves the truth in Nigeria.My suggestion to the Nigeria government is these,to make us one Nigeria again,Any state you are born,that's where you should come from.There should be nothing like origin,after all that origin was also formed by some group of people.
