 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being. TV CREW MEMBERS,ACCUSED OF STEALING FROM THE KARDASHIANS.

Inside job? Khloe Kardashian and her sister Kourtney are believed to have been targeted by thieves with an inside knowledge of their houses; they are seen arriving in Miami on Tuesday night with Scott Disick and Kim            The police are investigating whether a member of the TV crew of keeping up with the Kardashian could be involved in two serious thefts.Khloe Kardashian is claimed $250,000 of exxpensive jewellery,taken from her Tarzana home,while $50,000 in cash was stolen from a hiding place in her sister Kourtney's Calabassas home.The law enforcement said the thief is an insider,that have knowledge and legitimate access to the house.There was no sign of forced entry in either case,so the main suspects are the crew members of the reality show.What are we going to call these a reality show within a reality show.                                                    Targeted: Kourtney had $50,000 in cash taken from her Calabasas home; police are now looking at whether a member of the family's TV show crew could be involved

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
