 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.               The EFCC,raided Lekki and arrested 7 undergraduates who are studying in various courses in Nigerian universities.They are within the age range of 21,and 29 years.There names are,Elete Fred Debi,500 level student of Physic/production Technology of the university of Port Harcourt,Rivers State,Ese Iriruaga,300 level student of Geology,Delta state university Abraka,Couson Jimmy,300 level student of computer science,Benson Idahosa university Benin city Edo state,Anthony Onos,200 level student of political science,Lagos state university Ojo,Omene Stephen,200 level computer science,university of Port Harcourt,River state,Kome Emmanuel,200 level student of Petroleum engineering,university of Port Harcourt.and Shola Muyiwa,petroleum training institte,Effurun,Delta state.They were picked from two houses in Lekki county home and Lekki phase one.Various items like luxury cars,phones etc.One of them Sola Muyiwa confessed that,he recently collected $100 from one of his victims,Dora Hunt,based in North Carolina,United States of America.View their faces very well in below.
