 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. U.S,TO DECREASE THEIR SURVEILLANCE IN SEARCH OF THE MISSING CHIBOK GIRLS.

         The United States on Friday had decreased its surveillance flights in search for than 200 missing Chibok girls abducted in April by Islamist militants Boko Haram in Nigeria,but added that the over all effort was unchanged due to more flights by other countries.According to Rear Admiral John Kirby,Spokesman for the Pentagon,he said ''We don't have any better idea today than we did before about where these girls are,but there's been no letup of the effort itself''.If you ask me,is like the U.S is gradually pooling out from the search.What do you think?.
