 ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST SUSPECT OVER SUSPECTED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARM, RECOVER PUMP-ACTION GUN AND 11 LIVE CARTRIDGES IN NNEWI The Anambra State Police Command has arrested one Okechukwu Igwegbe over suspected unlawful possession of a firearm and recovered one pump-action gun and eleven live cartridges at Uruagu, Nnewi, in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The suspect was arrested on 18th September 2026 by operatives of the Command’s Tactical Team, led by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Ezekiel Imoh, psc (+), following credible intelligence. During the operation, the operatives recovered from the suspect one pump-action firearm and eleven live cartridges. The recovered firearm and ammunition have been secured as exhibits and are being subjected to further investigation.
