 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. REUTERS/Misha Hussain            According to World Health Organization {WHO},say on friday that Ebola continues to spread in Sierra Leone,Liberia and a lesser extent in Guinea,with a combined 44 new cases and 21 deaths between July 6-8.This brought the total in West Africa's outbreak of deadly viral disease to 888 cases including 539 deaths since February 2014.My concern is our Nigeria borders,i hope the Quarantine department in the Nigeria Immigration is taking note of these outbreak in Nigeria.They should use their tongues to count their teeth if they are pretending as if they have not received the information about the  outbreak of Ebola in Africa.
