 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. The Queen was greeted by rapturous applause when she appeared at Celtic Park. In her speech she highlighted the 'bonds that unite' the 71 nations and territories                A lot of countries round the world  came out for the Common Wealth games held in Glasgow and the baton to kick off the game,traveled under water before it was opened in front of the Queen.The opening of the games was colourful and there was full display of the Glasgow people.The royal family came out to greet fans all over the world but my favourite part was when Susan Boyle performed.Other musicians that performed are John Barrowman,Lulu,Rod Stewart and violinist Nicola Benedetti .Joh Barrowman,Scottish American actor/singer,dancer/presenter,kissed one of the performers.His open about being gay.More photos below.         The baton even travelled under water on its epic odyssey through The CommonwealthThe Queen cheered when the baton was - eventually - openedJohn Barrowman, Scottish-American actor, singer, dancer and presenter, kissed one of the performers at a mock Gretna Green wedding during the ceremony.
