 OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: TROOPS DESTROY TERRORIST HIDEOUTS AS OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS COMMENCE IN KATSINA STATE Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY) have commenced a deliberate offensive operation, code-named Operation CLEAN SWEEP III, targeting terrorist and bandit elements operating within Matazu Local Government Area and adjoining communities in Katsina State. The operation was launched following the unfortunate incident that led to the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists and bandits in the area. The operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing the perpetrators of the heinous act, dismantling criminal networks and restoring security within the affected communities. POLICE COMMAND IN ONDO REACTS TO FALSE PUBLICATION ABOUT A LATE POLICEMAN BY VANGAURD NEWS PAPER.

            The Nigerian police in Ondo state,has drawn the attention of the general public to the publication of the sunday Vanguard,page 8 of 20th July,2014,captioned  ''Police officer dies in sex romp''.The police command said the entire story is false,baseless,unfounded,ill-motivated and complete imagination of the writer.The police Command said it was an Inspector of police who reported sick by himself at the station at llutitin and conveyed i a patrol vehicle to hospital and not in a woman's house as alleged,but died on the way to hospital which could happen to anybody including the writer.It was an Inspector that died and not an Assistant Superintendent of police.No woman was arrested in connection with the dead of any police officer in llutitun.This shows that the writer did not conduct proper investigation but based his story on figment of his imagination.ASP.Wole .F.Ogodo,Police Public Relations Officer,Ondo state.
