 Anambra to go after houses without proper drainage in order to combat Erosion  Worried by the rising menace of gully erosion, the Anambra State Government has threatened to enforce regulations requiring residents to provide proper drainage for storm water from their homes. The State Executive Council (ANSEC), which announced the proposed enforcement, lamented that erosion remains an existential challenge in Anambra, blaming the situation on careless actions by some communities and lapses by regulatory bodies in enforcing environmental laws. Briefing journalists after the weekly executive council meeting, the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, said it had been observed that some residents channel storm water from their homes directly onto roads, where it accumulates and worsens the erosion crisis across the state. “ANSEC has resolved to step up enforcement to compel residents to properly channel and manage storm water from their houses. A FAKE POLICEMAN,ARRESTED WITH MARIJUANA IN KADUNA.

Ugochukwu Adegoke                                                        36 year old Ugochukwu Adegoke,who have been posing as a Assistant Superintendent of Police was arrested with over 100kg of marijuana by Kaduna state police command.He was arrested and paraded by the police yesterday wednesday when he confessed he was riding commercial motor cycle as means of livelihood until commercial motorcyclists were restricted to plying a few roads in Lagos in 2012.He said ''I left Lagos to Ondo in search of another job but couldn't get.So i was forced to pick the police uniform of my late brother to impersonate a police officer''.Adegoke is an indigene of Delta and Ondo state and a father of three children,wears the police uniform of his late brother Ayodele Adegoke an ASP to operate his illicit marijuana business before he was nabbed by the police while on his way to deliver to some clients in Zaria.Na wa ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
