 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. JENNIFER HUDSON THROWS A CHARITY EVENT TO HONOR HER LATE NEPHEW WHO DIED IN A GUN ATTACK.

Remembering: Jennifer and Julia Hudson at the annual charity event to remember Julian D King           Yesterday friday,Jennifer Hudson and her sister Julia created the Julian D.King Gift Foundation in 2008,which gives thousands of children each year school supplies on August 14,the anniversary of her late nephew's birthday.The annual gift sharing took place in Chicago with her sibling,where they donated thousands of knapsacks filled with supplies to needy children.Jennifer's nephew was murdered in a gun attack,and Jennifer said ''Our goal each year is very simple,we want these kids to know we are here for them and paying attension to their needs.If one child walks away with that feeling,then we've been successful.Chicago needs positive support more than ever and we hope that by doing this,we can encourage the next generation to keep on in that direction''.October 2008,Jennifer lost her mother Darnell Donerson,her brother Jason Hudson and nephew Julian King were all killed in a gun attack.They thought her 7 year nephew Julian was missing from home but later he was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds at the back of an abandoned SUV day's later.Jennifer was asked how she deals with the grief,she replied ''If i close my eyes,i can almost remember  what it was like,what i was like,15 years ago.I was at home in Chicago,still in high school singing in church,living with my family.I don't look the same.I'm a mother now,so many things have changed.I sometimes i think the only constant is my voice,that hasn't gone away''.More photos below.        Benefit: The star and her sister give away school supplies to children every year on Julian's birthdayIn tribute: Julia founded the charity, which donates school supplies to thousands of children each year, in 2008 after her son Julian passed awayMeet and greet: Hudson shook hands with various young fans at the eventSelfie: The singer stole a snap with the charity event goers
