 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. POPE FRANCIS,LOST TWO OF HIS INFANT NEPHEWS AND THEIR MOTHER IN A CAR ACCIDENT TODAY.

                       According to Argentina authorities,two infant grandnephews of Pope Francis and their mother were killed early tuesday when their car slammed into the back of a truck in Argentina.One of the Pope's nephew Emmanuel Horacio Bergoglio,who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash,was in serious condition.The children that died are age eight month and two years and they died with their mother.Vatican Spokesman,Federico Lombardi said ''The Pope had been informed about the accident and was deeply pained.He asks all those who share in his pain to join him in prayers''.Pope Francis has not been back to his native Argentina since being elected Pope in March 2013.The family was traveling on a highway in the central province of Cordoba when their vehicle slammed into the back of a truck and burst into flames.
