 Republic of Congo holds presidential election, internet disruption reported Internet connectivity across the Republic of Congo was disrupted on Sunday as voters cast ballots in a presidential election, global internet watchdog NetBlocks said. Network data indicated a nation-scale disruption to internet access, the watchdog said on X. A similar near-total nationwide internet blackout was recorded during the country’s March 2021 presidential election, lasting about three days, according to NetBlocks. Polls opened at 6 am (0500GMT) in the country’s presidential election and will remain open until 6 pm (1700GMT). More than 2.6 million registered voters aged 18 and above are eligible to cast their ballots. 3 ITALIAN NUNS,FOUND DEAD IN BURUNDI.

                According to father Mario Pulicini,he is responsible for the parish in northern suburb of Burunbura,named two of the nuns as Lucia Pulici,who was 75 and due to celebrate her birthday today monday and Olga Raschietti ,82.He said they were found dead in their dormitory yesterday sunday.The third nun,79 year old Bernadetta Boggian,was also found dead early monday morning.The killings appeared to happen at two separate times.''It is very difficult to know the reason behind the killing,but nothing can justify it''.The Catholic diocese in Parma,Italy said on its website that the dead of Pulici and Raschietti,appeared to have been ''The tragic out come of an armed robbery by a mentally unbalanced person''.Those two nuns had served in Burundi for seven years after working several years in the east of another central African state,the Democratic Republic of Congo''.
