Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. A BUS DRIVER WAS SENTENCED TO 10 MONTHS IMPRISONMENT FOR DRIVING AGAINST TRAFFIC.

Sheyi Adedeji                                                        27 year old Sheyi Adedeji who hails from Ikirun Osun state was arrested by officers of the Lagos Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences unit on tuesday and arrainged in court for violating the Road Traffic law of Lagos state.He was arrested because he was driving against traffic at Iyana Ipaja.He was charged with two count charge of dangerous driving and driving against traffic.He pleaded guilty to the offences and was duly sentenced by a magistrate sitting in the Special Offences court in Alausa Lagos, to 10 months imprisonment.His sentence was with the option of paying N150,000 plus community service to be carried out at the place of arrest or remain in jail for 10 months.
