 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali. A COMPANY DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER HE STOLE 1,200 BAGS OF BUA SUGAR.

                                            27 year old Wasiu Bello who was entrusted with 1,200 bags of BUA sugar by his employers so that he can deliver it to his employer's customer Aliamen Abubakar,instead he ran away with the goods,sold the goods and abandoned the truck on the road.It was Abubakar the customer that informed the company that he has not received the goods.Wasiu Bello was at last arrested by the police while two other accomplice escaped.Bello Wasiu charged with conspiracy and stealing before a Lagos court sitting in Ejigbo Lagos.The presiding Magistrate,Mrs M.B Folani granted him bail in the sum of N5 million with two sureties.He will be remanded in prison custody  at Kirikiri,Lagos pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.The matter was adjourned till 10 November 2014.Na wahooo.
