 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. A VAN SOMERSAULTED TODAY IN SOKOTO,KILLING 1 AND 17 INJURED.

In the file: Federal Road Safety Officers at work              According to the Federal Roads Safety Commission {FRSC} in Sokoto said that one person died while 17 others sustained injuries in an accident that occured between Sokoto ans Sabon garin Kwannawa today monday 6th of October 2014.Mr Kuteb Takum,the sector Commander of the Commission in the state,confirmed the accident said ''The victims were returning from a ceremony in Sabon garin Kwannawa,outskirt of Sokoto.A pick up van marked Edo XF739 Ben,somersaulted at the Sabon garin Kwannawa junction at about 10:am.The driver of the vehicle,who is now on the run,lost the control of the vehicle while on kwannawa Sokoto highway.It was not a heard on collision,but the van somersaulted several times after the driver lost the control of the vehicle and veered off the road.One person died immediately while others sustained injuries.Seven of the injured were receiving treatment at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital Sokoto.The remaining 10 injured are responding to treatment at the Specialist Hospital,Sokoto''.
