Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside. Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area. Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. The full circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and authorities are yet to issue a comprehensive official statement. According to officials at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital,they said a patient {Name withheld},tested positive to Ebola virus and that is the first case in the United State of America but the patient is being kept in isolation.Hospital officials said that they are following Centers for Disease control {CDC} recommendations to keep doctors,staff and patients safe.The Hospital officials claimed that the patient developed the symptoms days after returning to Texas from West Africa.The CDC said 12 other people in the U.S,have been tested for Ebola virus since July 27,those tests came back negative.More photos below.
