 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.               Today friday the Nigerian Chief of Defence staff Air Marshal Alex Badeh said ''A ceasefire agreement has been concluded between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Boko Haram.I have according directed the service Chiefs to ensure immediate compliance with this development in the field.President Goodluck Jonathan's principal Secretary Hassan Tukur told AFP that an agreement to end hostilities had been reached following talks,as well as the release of 219 girls held in captive since April.He said he had represented the government at the two meetings with the Boko haram group to end hostilities and as well as the release of the missing girls.''Boko Haram issued the ceasefire as a result of the discussions we have been having with them.The announcement was made last night thursday.They have agreed to release the Chibok girls''.I hope Boko Haram will release these missing girls as soon as possible.More photos below.
