DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. It was confirmed by the Electoral Commission yesterday monday that they have officially lifted the ban on campaigns for 2015 elections.According to the Chief Press Secretary of INEC Chairmam Mr Kayode Idowu said ''The commission has put structures inplace to track expenditures.That structure did not exist in 2011,but now,we have been able to put structures in place to track the expenditure of politicians and we are going to be doing that.Section 91,sub section 2-7 of the Electoral Act,dwells on limitation on Election expenses.The maximum elections expenses to be incurred by a candidate at a presidential,governorship election shall be N1 billion and N200 million,respectively.The maximum amount of election expenses to be incured of Senatorial seat by a candidate and House of Representatives shall be N40 million and N20 million respectively.While in the case of State Assembly election,the maximum amount of election expenses to be incurred shall be N10 million.Section 9{10} said,a candidate who knowing acts in contravention of this section commits an offence''.
