 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.                                                       I  watched the drama that played out between the Inspector General of Police Suleiman Abba and the committee that was questioning him yesterday,and how they reacted when he refused to recognize Hon Aminu Tambuwal,as Speaker of the  House of Representative.From what i could gather while watching,he said he refused to recognize the Speaker because his matter is still in court and today,a lot of lawyers and political parties were just condemning his attitude,towards the matter.If you ask me oh,some times people condemn blindly.Before they condemn the IGP,i condemn the fact that when i saw the House of Representative members flying the fence,i was so ashamed and i begin to wonder the type of leaders that we have voted in.Let me ask,youths in Nigeria,between the age of 25-40,are you in the House of Representative?,because the people flying that fence look like they are all above 50. With patience,that gate would have been opened for them.As for the teargas,it was a little childish to throw teargas within the House,so i condemn it.One more photo below.
