 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. 4 MEN JAILED TODAY FOR KILLING A SCOTTISH GEOLOGIST.

                    A Scottish Geologist,who was murdered in August 2009,received justice for his death today after four men armed with clubs,spears,bows and arrows attacked and killed the geologist,Campbell Bridges,were sentenced today thursday by a Kenyan court.The court sentenced the four men to 40 years imprisonment each after finding them guilty of killing the 71 year old germstone expert,who hadsettled in Kenya in 1975,owned several germstone mones in Voi area.He was attacked as he drove his pick up truck with his son and four other Kenyans.The accused were identified as 42 year old Mohamed Dadu Kokone,58 year old Alfred Makoko Njuruka,49 year old Samwel Machala and 56 year old Jame Chacha,had all denied the changes in 2009 and were all out on bail except Kokone who failed to raise the cash bond.
