 FG ARRAIGNS 400 TERRORISM SUSPECTS The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi (SAN), has arraigned for prosecution over 400 terrorism suspects.  Judiciary Correspondent Austin Anyebe reports that the trials are taking place in different courts at the Federal High Court complex in Abuja.  A team led by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Lateef Fagbemi SAN supported by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, Rotimi Oyedepo (SAN), is prosecuting the suspects. Similar mass trial took place in April 2026. In that trial out of 508 defendants, the AGF's office secured 386 convictions, with 8 discharges and 2 acquittals.  Many of the convicts received prison sentences of up to 20 years.  The defendants are facing charges linked to terrorism, aiding and abetting insurgent activities, and financing. TENSION IN SURULERE LAGOS,AS ACTOR DESMOND ELLIOT WINS THE PRIMARIES,UNDER THE APC TODAY.

                       The other aspirants stepped down for Nollywood actor Desmond Elliot,that made him the automatic winner of the primaries.He is contesting under the APC as a House of Assembly Surulere constituency in 2015 elections.It was said that the primary was peaceful at all the venues monitored by the press except Surulere where there was tension because Nollywood star Desmond Elliot was said to have been favoured against the incumbent and two term member of the House,Kabiru Lawal.It was also gathered that Lawal will be compensated with the chairmanship position of Surulere Local Government.Congratulations Desmond.
