 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. HALF OF MALAWI,DECLARED A DISASTER ZONE BY THEIR PRESIDENT,AFTER 48 PEOPLE DIED IN THE FLOOD.

               Malawi's Department of Meteorological Service has warned of heavy rainfall and flash floods in the country for the next two to three weeks.Their president Peter Mutharika said ''So far it is estimated that 69,9995 people have been displaced by the floods and 48 people have lost their lives.The floods have also damaged a lot of hectares of crops,washed away livestocks and damaged infrastructure,such as roads and brides.Many people remained stranded and would need to be rescued from low-lying areas prone to flooding.I declared all the 15 districts that have been affected by floods Disaster Areas......I appeal for humanitarian assistance,from the international donor community''.More photos below.
