 Republic of Congo holds presidential election, internet disruption reported Internet connectivity across the Republic of Congo was disrupted on Sunday as voters cast ballots in a presidential election, global internet watchdog NetBlocks said. Network data indicated a nation-scale disruption to internet access, the watchdog said on X. A similar near-total nationwide internet blackout was recorded during the country’s March 2021 presidential election, lasting about three days, according to NetBlocks. Polls opened at 6 am (0500GMT) in the country’s presidential election and will remain open until 6 pm (1700GMT). More than 2.6 million registered voters aged 18 and above are eligible to cast their ballots. 1 YEAR AFTER THE DEATH OF MANY,THE IMMIGRATION SERVICE IS ABOUT TO RECRUIT MORE PEOPLE AGAIN.

                                               These information got to my desk yesterday,after the Public Relations Officer for the Nigerian Immigration Service Chukwuemeka Obuah,on monday made the information available after they placed an advertorials were placed in major media outlets for the purpose of recruitment.The statement reads ''The Presidential Committee to assist in Immigration Recruitment on monday February 9,2015,placed advertorial in some national national dailies requesting application from suitable Nigerians for enlistment into the Nigerian Immigration service starting from 9 February,2015 to 22 March 2015.Note the application is free and must be done online''.The last recruitment tragedy happened March 15 2014,when 6.5 million people in all 37 states including the FCT,for just 4000 vacant position in the service.More photo below.
