 Adidas CEO Calls Surfeit of Pink Boots at World Cup an 'Accident' Adidas Chief Executive Officer Bjorn Gulden has addressed the overwhelming presence of pink football boots at the World Cup, describing the visual uniformity across competing sportswear brands as an unintentional coincidence. Speaking during a press conference covering the company’s quarterly financial results, Gulden responded to inquiries regarding the unusual dominance of identical footwear shades worn by top players throughout the tournament. An Unintended Overlap Across Brands "It was an accident," Gulden acknowledged when questioned about the monochromatic trend on the field. 13 BOKO HARAM FIGHTERS DEAD,AFTER THEY ATTACKED CHAD SOLDIERS TODAY.

             According to a Chad soldier,who in a statement disclosed to the press that Chad soldiers killed 13 fighters from the islamic militant group Boko Haram in a battle in Nigerian town of Gambaru,today wednesday.Chad's army is in Gambaru as part of a regional offensive including Niger and Cameroon against Boko Haram,whose militants have staged cross border raids in addition to attack inside Nigeria as part of a campaign to establish a caliphate.Much of the recent fighting has taken place near Lake Chad,which borders Nigeria,Chad,Cameroon and Niger,and in northern Cameroon itself.The military source said ''We knew they were going to attack us.We were waiting.The battle didn't last long.They fled''.The army said 11 Chadian soldiers were wounded,three out of 14 Boko Haram vehicles were destroyed and one was seized.Boko Haram attacked the town of N'Guigmi on Niger's border with Nigeria late on yesterday tuesday with mortars and machine guns,but the attack failed.N'Guigmi lies near Lake Chad,around 60 miles east of Diffa,where Niger declared a 15 day state of emergency and curfew on tuesday.
