 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. FOREIGN TRIPS BY CIVIL SERVANTS ON GOVT EXPENSE,BANNED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

                                    According to Mr Danladi Kifasi,who disclosed this information in a circula tiltled ''Restrictions on foreign trainings and international travels by public servants'',was issued to all Ministries,Departments and Agencies,MDA's,said it has become imperative to introduce a number of cost,saving measures following the recent development in the international oil market that has affected the revenue stream of Government.The Head of Service outlined some guidelines in the circular to be applied before any public officer shall travel out of the country on Government expense,explaining that''Proposals for participation or attendence of international conferences,seminars,workshops,study hours,training,presentations of papers,negotiating/signing of Memorandum of Understanding {MOU} abroadat Government expense,shall no longer be allowed except those that are fully funded by sponsoring/invitations organizations''.The circular further warned that no Ministry,Extra ministerial office,Department,Agency or Parastatals shall fund staff outside Nigeria for training at government expense whether or not that Agency draws funds from the Federal Government Budget or meets its financial needs from revenue generated by itself.One more photo below.
