 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.                    According to Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress {APC} who had planned to address the rally in the town of Okrika said ''Five police officers were shot.One of them is dead and the remaining four are lying in a citical condition at the hospital''.Other sources said apart from the police men that were shot,a Channels TV journalist that is ment to cover the event,was stabbed.Okrika town is located in Rivers state Nigeria.
