 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being.              Ever since Chris Brown was declared the father of Nia and dumped by his girlfriend Karrueche Tran,he decided to have a private pre-show meeting with his daughter Royalty,her mother Nia and her older sister in his tour van in Houston earlier before they came to pick Nia and her daughters later in the day..Chris Brown's baby Royalty was pictured for the first time being carried by one of Chris Brown's assistants as Nia boarded the bus with her daughters.31 year old model Nia,showed off her post baby body in a blue and white floral dress as she carried a baby blanket and a bottle of milk inside.Nia's 13 year old daughter,whose father filed for a divorce after 11 years,upon hearing of the pregnancy,helpfully carried a large bag packed with baby gear.Chris and Nia have been friend for years,both were shocked to discover he had fathered her child {Friends with benefit}.Nia celebrated her baby shower last year with a man named Brazil,who was then thought to be the father.However a DNA test later established that Chris was the father of her daughter Royalty,and Chris have embraced the new role as a father.Since learning he fathered a child,Chris has been calling Nia regularly and he says he wants to openly participate in raising the baby.Nia and Chris kept his parentage of the child a secret at first,and Chris did not even tell his on and off girlfriend of 5 years,Karrueche Tran.More photos below.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
