NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. According to a Judiciary source in Guinea,the source said that a court in Guinea has just sentenced 11 men to life imprisonment for killing eight members of an anti-Ebola team in the south eastern village of Wormey last year September 2014.The bodies of the eight people were discovered in September 2014 in Wormey,a village near the city of Nzerekore around 1,000km south east of the capital Conakry.The 11 accused were also fined $137,000 which will be used as compensation to the families of the victims.15 other accused persons were acquitted by the court for lack of sufficient evidence.42 other people cited in this criminal case had not yet been found.The whole killing incident started last year September 2014,when 8 government and health personnel who had come to warn the village of Wormey about the dangers of Ebola disease,they were all attacked and killed by individuals who opposed their health campaign.It is only an illiterate that does not know the value of a good information.
