 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 2 INEC OFFICIAL IN EDO STATE,SACKED OVER DISAPPEARANCE OF RESULT SHEET.

                            Two Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC,attached to Oredo and Orhiomwon Local Government Areas of Edo state  over their alleged involvement in the disappearance of result sheets provided for elections in those areas on the 28 of March Presidential and National Assembly elections.The state Resident Electoral Commissioner {REC} Barrister Mike Igini,who announced this during a meeting with the leaders of All Progressive Congress {APC} and the People Democratic Party {PDP} in the state.He also disclosed  that other officers of the Commission were being interrogated over alleged malpractices in the last elections,adding that those involved may face prosecution.According to him,areas where elections are rescheduled to hold includes the entire Orhiomwon Local Government Areas,six wards in Uhumwonde,some wards and units in Ikpoba Okhai,Ovia North East,Ovia South west and Oredo Local Government areas.He said the winner of the Edo south Senatorial District election will emerge through a simple majority,adding that the winner could only emerge after elections were held in those areas.
