 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. 3 PEOPLE TODAY DIED IN A BUS ACCIDENT,AT BENIN-WARRI HIGHWAY.

                   According to sources,atleast three people died in a ghastly motor accident that occured at Obayator village today saturday,along Benin Warri highway.Other people were seriously injured.The accident which occured ar about 8:30am,involved a Navy blue Toyota Hiace bus,Lagos XL 617 AGL,crashed into an aluminium coloured Toyota Sienna bus,marked as Delta Bur 598 AA.Both vehicles were travelling towards Benin city from Warri end of the double carriage way.Eyewitnesses claimed that the Hiace bus had burial posters of a woman,and the bus was on top speed when it lost control and rammed into the Sienna bus from behind,causing both vehicles to skid off the road.The burial bus is heading to Ekpoma,administrative headquarters of Esan West Local Government area of Edo state for burial.Youths of Obayator village,blocked the two sides of the double carriage way,thereby causing long queue of vehicles on the roads.
