 South Africa says US misrepresented its policies after visa curbs South Africa's foreign ministry said on Wednesday that it ‌had noted with concern U.S. visa restrictions on some people from South Africa announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio a day earlier. The foreign ministry added in a statement that ⁠the U.S. announcement aligned with "the mischaracterisation of South Africa's domestic policies by fringe groups". "We maintain that challenges in our bilateral relations with the USA can only be resolved by constructive engagement through state actors on both sides of the diplomatic channel not unilateral acts," the statement said, Reuters reported. Trump has repeatedly criticized ‌South ⁠Africa since the start of his second term for what he falsely claims is the racial persecution of its white minority, citing affirmative action laws aimed at ⁠addressing the inequality that has persisted since apartheid. OBANIKORO SUMMONED SOUTH AFRICAN HIGH COMMISSIONER,OVER THE XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON NIGERIAN CITIZENS.

               Foreign minister Musiliu Obanikoro summoned South African High Commissioner Lulu Mnguni to register Nigeria's protest over the on going Xenophobic attacks against fellow African's in South Africa.In the meeting,Ambassador Obanikoro condemned the attacks on foreigners in South Africa,expressing concern on the fate of Nigerians and indeed of other nationals who are migrants in the country.Koro said ''South Africa needed to take concrete steps to quell the unrest and bring the culprits involved to book,to act as a deterrent and prevent further violence''.He also called on the South African authorities to compensate the victims of these attacks.Soldiers were deployed over night to tackle gangs hunting down and killing foreigners after at least seven people died in violence in the last few weeks.If you ask me,it is a shameful act that Africans are killing themselves.The South Africans should also realize that their citizens are also dominating other countries like e.g Nigeria.More photos below.
