 Australian police say Islamic State inspired Bondi Beach mass shooting  Australian authorities have declared that the mass shooting which killed 15 people during a Hanukkah celebration at Sydney’s Bondi Beach was a terrorist attack inspired by the Islamic State group. Federal Police Commissioner Krissy Barrett said investigators reached that conclusion based on evidence recovered during the investigation. Officials identified the suspects as a father and son, aged 50 and 24. The older man, Sajid Akram, was shot and killed by police at the scene, while his son remains hospitalized under guard. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said investigators found Islamic State flags inside a vehicle linked to the attackers, reinforcing concerns that the violence was ideologically motivated. Of the dozens wounded in the attack, 25 people remain hospitalized, including 10 in critical condition. Three of the injured are children receiving care at a pediatric hospital. A CATHOLIC PRIEST IN ONITSHA OBINNA,WAS SHOT SEVERAL TIMES BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN.

                                                       On tuesday, a Catholic priest in Onitsha area,Anambra state,Rev Fr Obinna Emmanuel,popularly known as Ebube Muonso,escaped assassination attempt this after unidentified gunmen ambushed him in his parish and shot him severally.The priest,who has a catholic healing ministry,was returning to his parish house at St Mary Catholic Church,Umudioka a few kilometers to Onitsha,when a gang stopped him in front of the parish and shot him and his driver several times.The incident that happened on tuesday,happened immediately the priest had finished conducting his weekly prayer at a crusade and was returning to the parish.His car was badly damaged by the bullets.Father Emmanuel confirmed the incident to the Onitsha Relief Market traders,where he went for the crusade.He said after the incident he went to the police and reported and showed them the damaged car,adding that,the police did noting about it.It was not the first time Emmanuel has been attacked in a similar manner by unidentified gunmen.Sometime agao when he was returning to his Uke parish from Onitsha,he was attacked and his car was badly damaged.On that occassion he was also lucky because the bullets that riddled the car did not hit him.Some of his parishioners were shocked and downcast after they heard about the incident.They said it is the battle between light and darkness.
