 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Governor Willie Obiano (M) and the commissioners at the right                    Those sworn in yesterday monday are Mr Okey Moka {Finance],Mrs Gladys Ilobi {Special Duties} Mr Afam Mbanefo {Agriculture},Mr Frank Offor {Housing and Urban Development} and Dr Uju Nwogu {Information,Cultural and Tourism}.Governor Willie Obiano said he has appointed the five new Commissioners to assist in steering the affairs of the state.Administering Oath of office on the appointees on Monday in Awkka,the Director of Civil Litigation,Mr Emeka Ike,explained that the appointment was in the accordance with the provision of sections 190 and 194 of the constitution of the country.The governor on his part congratulated the appointees,urging them to see their appointments as a priviledge and call to serve the people.''Serving under this administration is an honour to those of you who have been sworn in and we look up to assist in moving the state forward.What you have just signed is your job specifications,with time frme for performance monitoring.So you will only stay apart of the team,if you are found worthy''.Responding on behalf of the commissioner,Nwogu expressed gratitude to the governor for find them worthy to serve the state,promising to key into the tempo of development strides.
