 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

Governor Willie Obiano (M) and the commissioners at the right                    Those sworn in yesterday monday are Mr Okey Moka {Finance],Mrs Gladys Ilobi {Special Duties} Mr Afam Mbanefo {Agriculture},Mr Frank Offor {Housing and Urban Development} and Dr Uju Nwogu {Information,Cultural and Tourism}.Governor Willie Obiano said he has appointed the five new Commissioners to assist in steering the affairs of the state.Administering Oath of office on the appointees on Monday in Awkka,the Director of Civil Litigation,Mr Emeka Ike,explained that the appointment was in the accordance with the provision of sections 190 and 194 of the constitution of the country.The governor on his part congratulated the appointees,urging them to see their appointments as a priviledge and call to serve the people.''Serving under this administration is an honour to those of you who have been sworn in and we look up to assist in moving the state forward.What you have just signed is your job specifications,with time frme for performance monitoring.So you will only stay apart of the team,if you are found worthy''.Responding on behalf of the commissioner,Nwogu expressed gratitude to the governor for find them worthy to serve the state,promising to key into the tempo of development strides.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
