 ANAMBRA POLICE COMMAND RECEIVES AND AUGMENTS IGP’S MONITORING UNIT OPERATIVES ON ENFORCEMENT OF POLICE PERSONNEL WITHDRAWAL FROM VIP ESCORT DUTIES IN THE STATE The Anambra State Police Command today 8th December 2025 formally received operatives of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s Monitoring Unit deployed to the state to ensure full implementation of the IGP’s directive on the withdrawal of police personnel from VIP escort and guard duties. The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc mnips PhD reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to supporting the IGP’s reform efforts targeted at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and optimal deployment of police manpower nationwide. The CP noted that the withdrawal of these officers will help to strengthen public policing, improve response capacity, and ensure that more personnel are available for core policing duties across the state. IVORY COAST COACH HERVE RENARD,RESIGNS.

                   46 year old Herve Renard made these annoucement of his resignation yesterday friday as a coach of African cup of Nations winners Cote d'Ivoire,to pave the way for a move to French Ligue 1 side Lille.Herve Renard cited a new challenge as the reason for his departure from Coted' Ivoire,which had signed him on a two year contract in August 2014.Renard did not offer details concerning the termination of his contract,saying only there would be discussions between his new club and the Ivorian football Federation.He led Cote d'Ivoire to their second Nations cup title in Equatorial GBuinea in February,defeating neighbouring Ghana in a dramatic penalty shootout,just two years after Renard had won the title with Zambia.
