 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. FRESH EBOLA VIRUS OUTBREAK IN SIERRA LEONE,1 MONTH AFTER BEING DECLARED EBOLA FREE COUNTRY.

                          Today wednesday,it was reported that Sierra Leone's capital Freetown has suffered a fresh outbreak of Ebola.Health officials say there are fears of further infections as the cases occurred in a densely populated slum.Sierrs Leone's National Ebola Response Centre said there was great concern because all Ebola quarantine facilities in Freetown had been closed.Health officials said six people have been under observation since the first of the new cases.A casual labourer tested positive on June 17 while Liberia was just declared Ebola free in May,but hopes that the decease is gone for good,has been dashed due to the new reported case of Ebola.The latest cases were found in the Freetown slum of Magazine.The north of Sierra Leon continues to be affected by Ebola,as it's neighbouring country Guinea.Last month,six people were put isolation in prison in Guinea after being accused of travelling with a corpse of a relative who had died of Ebola.
