 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. THREE APC MEMBERS,WERE SHOT DEAD IN IMO STATE.

                         According to sources,the victims were shot dead last sunday night around 8:00pm by unknown gunmen,who drove in a black SUV while they were relaxing in the shop of the wife of one of the deceased,identified as Ejimadu.The motive for their killing could not be ascertained at the time when these report was filed.Further reports states that the incident happened at Umuokpo village in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo state.The victims were identified as Placid Ejimadu,Livinus Iwumune and Jonathan Ibemere.
